  • Sclerotherapy for spider & varicose veins

A painless treatment for spider veins that can appear as small clusters of red, blue or purple veins on the thighs, calves and ankles. The veins are injected with a solution, which causes them to collapse and fade from view. Sclerotherapy can also help remedy symptoms associated with spider and varicose veins such as aching, burning, swelling and night cramps.

  • Microdermabrasion

A skin-freshening technique that helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, unwanted pigmentation such as age spots, and acne scarring.

The device mixes gentle abrasion, or “polishing”, with suction to remove the dead, outer layer of skin. The procedure also stimulates the production of skin cells and collagen.

As with other skin rejuvenation techniques, more than one treatment is usually needed to achieve desired results. Microdermabrasion may be combined with a chemical peel treatment to increase results.

  • Chemical Peels

Dr. Linder and Dr. Price offer chemical peel treatments from PCA Advanced Skin Care Systems. PCA Professional™ chemical peels are gentle, non-toxic, light to medium range peels. These treatments will help stimulate, firm and tighten the skin. They address a wide range of skin types and conditions using ingredients such as alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), TCA (trichloroacetic acid), salicylic acid, resorcinol, retinol, tyrosinase inhibitors, antioxidants and polyphenols.

AHAs are naturally occurring acids, which mean they are found in nature. PCA products favor the use of lactic acid (from milk) and citric acid (from citrus fruits) over other AHAs, as they are well received by the body because of the small molecule and are moisturizing.

AHAs work on the skin in this way: they break the chemical bond of the glue (desmasomes) that holds the dead skin layer (the stratum corneum) together. They speed up the natural exfoliating process and enable the new, healthier cells to come to the surface. By removing dull and damaged surface layers, the result is a healthier and more youthful appearance.

In most cases you will see results from your PCA chemical peel immediately. You may or may not experience actual peeling; each individual is different. A good result may still be achieved even without the presence of visible exfoliation. Also, PCA peels have been called “lunchtime peels”, as you should experience little or no “downtime” after your treatment.
